FORT WORTH, TX / ACCESS Newswire / December 18, 2025 / Vadzo Imaging today announced its 3.2 MP Monochrome Global Shutter GigE camera based on the Sony® Pregius S™ IMX900 CMOS sensor, with ONVIF Profile S, T, and G support.

3MP Monochrome Sony Pregius IMX900 Global Shutter GigE ONVIF camera

Technical Highlights

Next-Generation Global Shutter Performance

The IMX900 employs 2.25 µm BSI pixels, enabling a 3.2 MP resolution (2064 × 1552) in a 1/3.1″ optical format. Its true global shutter architecture ensures the camera is ideal for high-speed industrial inspection, robotics, and automated guidance systems.

Quad HDR & Quad Shutter Control

The sensor supports Quad HDR (High Dynamic Range) by allowing different exposure times to be set across each 2×2 pixel unit, enabling simultaneous capture of short and long exposures within a single frame to extend dynamic range under challenging lighting conditions.

Quad Shutter Control allows independent exposure across 2×2 pixel clusters, enabling time-sequential image capture within a single frame cycle, critical for machine vision workflows that require multi-condition analysis.

Enhanced NIR Sensitivity

The sensor architecture delivers 2X improvement in near-infrared quantum efficiency compared to previous generations. This translates to superior performance in red/IR illumination environments, which are common in logistics, medical imaging, and life-sciences automation.

Fast AE Mode

Integrated Fast AE circuitry adapts exposure levels dynamically, reducing frame-to-frame luminance variation under changing light. This allows deployment in outdoor robotic systems, sports analysis, or high-mix production lines without sacrificing consistency.

GigE Vision with OnVIF Compliance

The Innova-900MGS delivers uncompressed image streams via Gigabit Ethernet, supporting PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) for simplified cabling. OnVIF compliance ensures interoperability with established network-based vision and security frameworks.

Form Factor and Mechanical Design

With a footprint of 38 mm × 38 mm and an S-mount (M12) lens interface, the three-board camera module integrates easily into embedded and mobile platforms. Designed for thermal stability and low mass, it is ideal for drones, handheld devices, and high-density inspection arrays.

Power of Ethernet

The Innova-900MGS supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) compliant with IEEE 802.3af, enabling single-cable power and data delivery. This simplifies system integration, reduces wiring complexity, and supports scalable multi-camera deployments.

Targeted Application Domains

Industrial Metrology & Quality Control: High frame rate streaming with distortion-free imaging supports precision dimension analysis, defect inspection, and automated pick-and-place verification.

Robotics & AMRs: Global Shutter Sensor, Compact design and PoE simplify deployment in autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs/AMRs) where NIR-aided navigation and barcode decoding are critical.

Life Sciences & Microscopy: Monochrome imaging with high quantum efficiency supports fluorescence and NIR-based assays.

Logistics & OCR: Quad HDR and global shutter ensure reliable character recognition, tracking, and parcel inspection under varied warehouse lighting.

Aerial Imaging & Drones: Lightweight design enables motion capture without rolling shutter distortions, enhancing stability in drone-based surveillance and inspection.

Availability

The Innova-900MGS is available for order, with volume pricing starting at USD 149 per unit for 5,000 units and USD 129 per unit for 10,000 units. Detailed specifications and evaluation units can be accessed through www.vadzoimaging.com.
